Devs United Games, the creative minds behind the popular VR game Real VR Fishing, have exciting news for the fishing enthusiasts in the virtual world. They’re gearing up to launch their well-loved fishing simulation game on PC VR headsets next month. Get ready because it’s arriving for SteamVR users in early December!
Fans of the Quest version will find plenty to look forward to, as the PC offering will stick to the same pricing strategy and gameplay style. Even better, all downloadable content (DLCs) such as the US West Coast, US East Coast, and both Japan DLCs, will be available right off the bat on Steam.
The base game itself comes packed with over 40 scenic fishing spots and more than 150 unique fish species. If that’s not enough to reel you in, the additional DLCs will extend your adventures with 95 new fishing locales and introduce you to over 300 different fish species — that’s quite the underwater treasure trove to explore!
Now, while Real VR Fishing will keep its engaging solo mode and four-player multiplayer experience on Quest, the PC version will differ slightly. The developers have confirmed with Road to VR that the Steam release won’t support cross-play multiplayer between Quest, Pico, and PC VR users. That said, PC players won’t be missing out entirely, as the Steam version will offer some neat features like integrated YouTube and web browsing, along with monthly updates and the ability to customize your aquarium.
First launched for Quest back in late 2019, Real VR Fishing quickly hooked the VR community, becoming the go-to fishing game on that platform. It boasts an impressive 4.6 out of 5 user rating from over 7,200 reviews, reflecting its widespread appeal and enjoyment among players.
If you’re as excited about this next big catch as many others, you can go ahead and wishlist Real VR Fishing on Steam now, gearing up for its splashy debut in early December. Happy fishing in virtual reality!
