The launch of “Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl” has taken the gaming world by storm, claiming the top spot on Steam’s sales chart last week. Released just recently on November 20th, the game has already surpassed one million copies sold. Additionally, a number of gamers are diving into this intense survival shooter through Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. This is undoubtedly a remarkable achievement for the team at GSC Game World, especially considering they completed the game’s development amid the challenges of a warzone.
This surge in popularity for “Heart of Chornobyl” nudged “Counter-Strike 2” down to second place. Meanwhile, Valve’s Steam Deck jumped to third, fueled by the release of a limited edition white version of the console. Launched on November 18th, this special edition sold out almost immediately.
“PUBG: Battlegrounds” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” each saw a minor drop, landing in fourth and fifth positions respectively. Despite some well-publicized technical hiccups, “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024” made an impressive debut at sixth place.
Anticipation for the upcoming RPG “Path of Exile 2” secured it the seventh spot, even before its Early Access release scheduled for December. This early interest is largely due to Supporter Packs giving players initial access upon launch.
Climbing to eighth place, “Throne and Liberty” by Amazon and NCSoft showed significant momentum, surpassing “EA Sports FC 25” which settled into ninth. Valve’s ever-popular “Dota 2” closed out the week’s top ten lineup.
