The game’s official Twitter account dropped the news, announcing the upcoming Mythical Island expansion, slated for release on Tuesday, December 17. “I went the extra mile to get this info for you. (Basically, I asked very politely and maybe shed a tear or two),” quipped the social media representative for TCG Pocket.

This new Mythical Island booster pack offers a refreshing option for those who’ve been inundated with Doduo cards—no one can really decide whether it’s Doduos or Dodui.
According to the trailer, “The Mythical Island expansion features over 80 cards, including five new exciting Pokémon ex cards, five new Trainer cards, and beautifully immersive cards that transport you into the enchanting world of Pokémon.”
Additionally, you can nab new binder and display board covers featuring the scenic Mythical Island, providing a whimsical backdrop for your Pokémon. It’s like sending your little Pokémon crew on a faux vacation—perfect for the quirky world of Pokemon’s somewhat ethically questionable zookeeping concept if you think too hard about it.
