The “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Online Challenge: Winter Clash 2024” is an eagerly anticipated online competition hosted on the Nintendo Switch game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This Event is organized by Nintendo of Europe SE, based in Frankfurt, Germany.
### Event Period and Locations
Mark your calendars! This exciting Event will take place on Friday, December 6th, from 18:00 to 20:00 CET (or 17:00 to 19:00 if you’re in the UK). It’s open to participants from a wide array of countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, and many more across Europe. However, players residing far from central Europe, such as those in the Azores or the Svalbard archipelago, may find themselves unable to participate due to geographical constraints.
### Participation
Joining the competition is simple. Players must have a Nintendo Account set to one of the eligible countries and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, be it paid or on a free trial. All you need is access to the Game on your Nintendo Switch. Just head to the main menu, select “Online,” then “Official Tourney Qualifiers” to dive into the action. Make sure to complete at least one match to secure your spot.
### Tourney Score
The competition revolves around Tourney scores, a unique rating system available only during special events like this one. Players aim to achieve the highest score, which reflects individual skill based on match outcomes and the relative scores of opponents. You can check your Tourney score anytime during the Event.
The more matches you play, the better your chances of boosting your Tourney score. Any matches starting during the Event will count toward your score, even if they finish after the official end time.
### Winners and Prizes
What’s competition without some enticing prizes? The top ten participants with the highest scores will each receive 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points. Those ranking 11th to 100th will secure 1,000 Gold Points each. However, it’s important to keep your country setting within the Participating Countries; any changes leading to a non-participating country will mean disqualification.
Nintendo takes fair play seriously. Any form of cheating, exploiting bugs, or misconduct as outlined in the Nintendo Code of Conduct will result in disqualification and potentially lead to account suspension or termination. Remember, the prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash or other alternatives.
### Delivery
Prize distribution will occur within two weeks post-event, directly to the Nintendo Accounts of winners. Check the My Nintendo Point Log to confirm receipt of your Gold Points.
