NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software have just dropped some exciting news for fans of Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero. You can now try out a demo on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch.
This demo gives you the opportunity to dive into the first two chapters of the narrative. Even better, any progress you make will seamlessly transfer when the full game launches.
Created by the masterminds behind the Disgaea series, this tactical, grid-less turn-based RPG introduces you to Marona. She’s an extraordinary young girl who can communicate with Phantoms, and she’s joined by her steadfast Phantom sidekick, Ash. Together, they traverse the oceanic world of Ivoire, helping those in distress.
The story kicks off with an attack from ghostly pirates, propelling Marona, along with her new ally Apricot, into a mission to reunite the legendary crew that previously vanquished these spectral adversaries.
Throughout your journey, you’ll gather Phantoms and attach them to various objects. You can meld these Phantoms with Gadgets or even with Marona herself to unleash incredible powers to obliterate the Shipwreck Fleet.
Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect from the game’s standout features:
-
Play It Your Way: Customize a squad from over 50 unit types and send them into combat! The strategy and outcome hinge entirely on your creativity.
-
Phantom Possession: Engage in strategic turn-based battles with the unique Confine system, letting you merge Phantoms with items to bolster your fighting force!
- Light-hearted Adventure: As Marona embarks on her quest to rescue her dear friend Ash, anticipate plenty of fun moments and the forging of new friendships along the way!
Mark your calendars, as Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is gearing up for a worldwide release, both in stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch, set for January 30, 2025.
