It seems like Dragon Age: The Veilguard is reaching the end of its update cycle, as suggested by the latest patch notes. EA recently disclosed that the game has attracted 1.5 million players, which falls notably short at about 50% below their initial expectations. This shortfall appears to have prompted the publisher to halt further post-launch support just three months after release.

Bioware began their announcement for Update 5 patch notes by indicating that they will transition to only keeping an eye out for critical bugs and issues from this point onward. This shift in focus has led many to speculate that this may indeed be the final significant update for the game.
According to the patch notes, "We’re pleased with the stability that the game had at launch and hope that you found our Quality of Life patches to be beneficial. With the game now in a stable state, our focus will be on monitoring any game-breaking bugs that might arise."
While Bioware didn’t spell it out, this definitely gives the impression that we’ve seen the last major update.

Quality of Life Changes:
- Players will now see recommended levels for side quests, prepared especially for those who might encounter them at much lower levels.
Bug Fixes:
- Resolved the issue where Rook could only flirt with Lucanis during a particular conversation.
- Fixed a problem with the Regrets of The Dread Wolf quest, which previously failed to trigger correctly or trapped Rook behind an invisible wall in the Crossroads.
- Cleared a blockage in a puzzle located in the Converged City area of the Crossroads.
- Adjusted the "Imperium’s Resolve" armor, which was mistakenly delivering negative damage instead of the intended zero for fire, cold, necrotic, and electric damage.
- Addressed excessive clipping on Taash’s "Rivain’s Legacy" armor.
- Fixed issues preventing some Rooks from altering the runes on their lyrium dagger.
- Corrected the Medium Armor Mastery skill for Warriors.
- Patched a spot on Rivain’s beach where Rook would get permanently caught drowning without assistance from companions.
- Fixed a typo on a note discoverable by Rook in Dock Town.
- Improved the quality of photo mode screenshots when HDR was set to "On."
- Removed an on-screen display error showing the photo mode screenshot location.
- Fixed an issue with fireflies flickering excessively in the opening area of the Crossroads on certain settings.
- Resolved lighting problems during a conversation with the team in the Lighthouse.
- Corrected a bug in the Mirror of Transformation that prevented players from zooming in and out using the mouse scroll wheel.
- Fixed a scenario where the Objective Marker Visibility failed to update when the exploration preset was changed within the Exploration sub-category.
- Made a few tweaks to the game credits.
