The Video Game History Foundation has proudly unveiled its digital library of research materials, now available for early access. This impressive launch includes a vast collection of over 1,500 rare and out-of-print video game magazines that are fully text-searchable. These are treasures that the public seldom had access to before. Additionally, it features previously unseen game development materials, artwork, press kits, promotional items, and a whole lot more.
If you’re eager to explore this treasure trove, head over to Library.GameHistory.Org.
Among the standout offerings at launch are the Mark Flitman collection and the Cyan collection. Not too long ago, we at NWR had the privilege of accessing parts of the Mark Flitman collection for our 30th-anniversary Star Fox documentary and an in-depth exploration of Dylan Cuthbert’s Eclipse demo, both of which were created in partnership with the Video Game History Foundation. The Cyan collection is equally exciting, with more than 100 hours of footage from the production of the legendary Myst series.
