Space Marine 2’s main storyline doesn’t take long to finish, but that hasn’t stopped Saber Interactive from keeping the game fresh with regular updates featuring new operations and multiplayer elements. Just recently, on a Thursday, the developers announced the third major expansion for the game. They’ve named it Datavault, and it brings a variety of exciting additions—one being a new chamber for the battle barge, along with a slew of cosmetic upgrades, a fresh PvP map, and the menacing arrival of the Tyranid Biovore.
In Space Marine 2, players can either dive into the main narrative as Commander Titus or partake in additional Operations. These side missions don’t directly impact the core plot but offer insights into various military strategies and their execution within the storyline’s universe. While waiting for Operations or PvP matches to commence, players can explore the Ultramarine battle barge. This setting now boasts the newly introduced Datavault—a chamber where Tech-Priests meticulously log information about in-game adversaries. Players can tackle challenges to earn research data, which then acts like currency to unlock impressive power armor pieces and weapon skins.
The latest Datavault update also spices up Operations by introducing the formidable Biovore. Hailing from the Tyranid faction, this imposing unit boasts a unique model with crab-like limbs and a colossal organic cannon perched on its armored back. Fans of PvP will find themselves battling on a new map, styled like an ancient Necron tomb.
Furthermore, this update rolls out a new season pass featuring Raven Guard and Salamander armor sets, introducing an Absolute difficulty mode, and bundling several quality-of-life enhancements and balance adjustments.
