Take-Two Interactive has hinted that they’re likely to back the Nintendo Switch 2, but they’re keeping the details under wraps for now.
The well-known publisher has been a consistent supporter of the original Switch, bringing a variety of their popular titles to the platform. Their range of games includes notable collections and releases such as BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, XCOM 2 Collection, and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. In addition, they’ve added exciting entries like New Tales from the Borderlands, LEGO 2K Drive, and their latest offerings, NBA 2K25 and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII.
Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, shed some light on their relationship with Nintendo during the publisher’s Q3 2025 earnings call. He said, “We’ve enjoyed a strong partnership with Nintendo over the years. Initially, our releases were tailored more toward younger audiences that the Nintendo platforms attracted. But with the evolution of the Switch and what seems to be coming with the Switch 2, we’re seeing a device capable of reaching a broader audience. For instance, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is now playable on the Switch. While we don’t have any concrete announcements at the moment, it’s fair to say we expect to support the Switch [2].”
