GHOST TOWN has just hit the VR scene, brought to us by Fireproof Games. This is the same team behind the much-acclaimed VR puzzle adventure, “The Room: A Dark Matter.”
For now, you can dive into Ghost Town using Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets. Later this year, it’ll make its way to PC VR and PSVR 2. While it marks a new path away from the famed “The Room” series, it still keeps the studio’s hallmark focus on compelling puzzles combined with a rich narrative.
Although the game flirts with supernatural elements, Fireproof Games stops short of labeling it as a horror experience. Instead, the emphasis is on suspense and mystery, lending an intriguing backdrop to the puzzles.
Ghost Town was in the works for nearly four years and showcases a significant leap for Fireproof Games. This includes fully motion-captured characters, enhancing the immersion and experience.
Players and reviewers alike are raving about its stunning visuals, even on the Quest headsets. The game whisks players away to the atmospheric setting of 1980s London.
For now, there’s no specific release date for its PC VR and PSVR 2 versions. However, if you’re equipped with a Quest 2, Quest 3, or Quest 3S, you can jump in now for $30.
