Apple’s cutting-edge AI suite, known as Apple Intelligence, is poised to land on the Vision Pro this coming April with the official release of visionOS 2.4. However, for those who can’t wait, activating developer mode means you can already start exploring all it has to offer.
Apple Intelligence is packed with innovations that are set to enhance the Vision Pro experience. This includes writing aids, AI-generated imagery, swift smart replies, intuitive photo searches, concise AI summaries, and even custom emojis. These enhancements have been available on iOS and Mac since the suite’s debut last October, but they promise even greater utility on Vision Pro, which leverages both voice and hand-based text input for a more immersive experience.
In the latest Vision Pro update, there are noteworthy improvements to the Guest User mode. You now have the ability to share your Vision Pro’s magic with others using a nearby iPhone or iPad, simplifying the often clumsy process of guiding friends or family through the world of extended reality. No more endless explanations of which icon to press and when; the experience is more seamless and intuitive.
Another exciting addition in the 2.4 version is the Spatial Gallery. This is a curated selection of spatial photos, breathtaking videos, and wide panoramas from talented artists, filmmakers, and photographers. Spatial Gallery will gradually become accessible in several countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, the UK, and the US.
Beyond this, Vision Pro is also seeing deeper integration with iOS. As visionOS 2.4 launches in April, users can look forward to queuing app and game downloads, exploring spatial content, and checking device details via a new Apple Vision Pro iOS app, which will be launched alongside iOS 18.4.
Initially, the Apple Intelligence rollout will support U.S. English only, but Apple plans to expand its language options and features over the year. Although a specific release date is still under wraps, Apple has already released a developer beta for visionOS 2.4. If you’re eager to dive into it, just head to your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security. Enable “Developer Mode,” restart the Vision Pro, and you’re set to explore.
