A beloved engineering puzzle sandbox is making its way to the Quest lineup this week, introducing an array of bridge-building challenges that can be enjoyed in both virtual and mixed reality on the Quest platform.
Initially, Bridge Constructor Studio was expected to launch last week, bringing its intricate bridge-building simulation to VR, and allowing players to construct, test, and tweak their creations in mixed reality on Quest 3. Though it’s arriving a little later than originally planned, it’s definitely a welcome addition.
Scheduled for release on December 12th, Bridge Constructor Studio offers 70 engaging puzzles in its campaign. Players are tasked with getting various vehicles from one side to the other using an assortment of building materials like wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and roadways.
Unlike the earlier flat-screen versions of Bridge Constructor or its rival Poly Bridge, the XR version won’t limit you by budget or materials by default. However, if you’re up for the challenge, these constraints can be activated for a chance to earn a “special award,” according to the creators.
Beyond the campaign, Bridge Constructor Studio features a Scenario Creation Mode, enabling players to craft and try out their own bridge-building scenarios. You can save up to 40 custom levels to your player profile, personalizing your gaming experience.
Developed by ClockStone STUDIO, Bridge Constructor Studio continues the legacy of the original flat-screen and XR adaptation of LEGO Bricktales (2023), alongside various editions of Bridge Constructor since its debut in 2011.
The game is priced at $10 and set to release on December 12th, available exclusively for the Quest 2 and Quest 3. Keep an eye on the Horizon Store for its official launch!
