Imagine teeing off at the peak of Mount Olympus in Walkabout Mini Golf. This stunning course is the 32nd in the lineup, following the Viva Las Elvis course which debuted in January. Lucas Martell, the head of the studio, mentions that it’s significantly more expansive than the giant course released last year, Temple At Zerzura.
The official description sets the stage beautifully: Picture yourself high above the Aegean Sea, in the mythical domain of the gods and goddesses. Here, the Olympian deities gather to shape the destinies of humans. Your journey through this extraordinary miniature golf adventure means navigating through elaborate temples and mystical terrains, all while tackling intricate obstacles. But there’s a twist—the Olympian Council evaluates your performance, deciding whether you’re worthy of triumph or if you’ll incur the displeasure of the gods.
As you ascend Mount Olympus, you’ll discover temples adorned with offerings and symbols representing the prominent gods such as Zeus, Apollo, and Artemis. Our tour with Lucas Martell, the brain behind Walkabout, happens to be our most detailed one yet, lasting 28 minutes and packed with fascinating behind-the-scenes insights.

In a recent conversation, I sat down with Don Carson, the senior art director at Mighty Coconut, to delve into the game’s creative process. He revealed that their goal is to “over deliver” using a complex, layered design strategy that spans over a year, with teams working in rotation to craft these courses. The company has grown significantly, now employing dozens of talented individuals affectionately referred to as the Coconuts.
Following the massive success of the Elvis course, which shot the game to its highest sales day in almost five years, will Mount Olympus motivate players once again to make a beeline for the store?
Walkabout Mini Golf is available on all major VR headsets and iOS devices.
