The highly ambitious sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, has crossed an impressive milestone, with over 30 million copies sold to date. This exciting news comes courtesy of CD Projekt’s chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz, as reported by VGC. He shared this achievement alongside the company’s financial results for the period ending in September.
Additionally, the game’s expansion, Phantom Liberty, has also been a hit, with over eight million copies sold so far.
Fans of the franchise have something new to look forward to, as Cyberpunk 2077 is set to make its debut on Mac devices soon. Even more intriguing, a new animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe is in the pipeline.
Nielubowicz enthusiastically shared, "I’ve got some great news straight from Night City. We’ve hit a significant sales mark with Cyberpunk 2077 surpassing 30 million copies, and Phantom Liberty reaching eight million units sold."
He continued, "These figures are testament to the massive fan community and the widespread interest in the Cyberpunk universe. This is crucial for us, especially since we’ve recently announced that both the game and its expansion will be coming to Mac devices, utilizing Apple Silicon chips next year."
"And there’s more,” he adds with excitement, "We’re thrilled to announce that we’re in the process of developing another animation venture set in the Cyberpunk universe, which will soon be available on Netflix."
