PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have something exciting to look forward to this year. Currently, four highly anticipated titles are set to be added to the service’s Game Catalog when they launch. Among these is Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, which has recently announced a new release window set for the summer of 2025.
FBC: Firebreak takes place in the mysterious setting known as The Oldest House, which fans might recognize as the main location from the critically renowned game, Control. Departing from Remedy Entertainment’s usual story-driven style, this venture shifts its focus towards a gameplay-heavy approach. Interestingly, they’re steering clear of the fear-of-missing-out tactics often seen in live-service games. That means all the playable content will be accessible for free, allowing players to dive in and progress at their own pace.
In the latest trailer, viewers get a glimpse of the Paper Chase Job—an intriguing mission within FBC: Firebreak. During this task, players of the Firebreak Initiative are challenged to clean up a part of The Oldest House overrun with rogue sticky notes. The trailer also highlights the various loadouts players can wield to combat the persistent Hiss threat.
Once released, FBC: Firebreak will be playable on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both Epic Games Store and Steam.
But the fun doesn’t stop there; this is just one of four games featured in the Game Catalog at launch. Additionally, titles like Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor have been announced. Currently, the first installment of Lost Records is available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, with its second part expected to drop next month.
PlayStation Plus subscribers also enjoy early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale, snagging great deals on blockbuster games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 right now.
