Are you getting a bit weary of hearing about “Dune Awakening” and not actually playing it? Well, don’t worry, the wait is nearly over! You’ll soon get a chance to dive into the game during a free open beta weekend from May 9 to May 12.
To join the fun, you’ll need to wishlist the game before May 9 for a chance to play, or snag one of the thousands of beta codes the team will be distributing throughout the weekend. So, it’s open, but with a twist—you’ll need a bit of luck to jump in. Think of it as a door that’s partly open.
Interestingly, this beta kicks off just days before the original release date, May 15. The team at Funcom decided to delay the launch to ensure everything is perfectly polished for the big day.
During the beta, you’ll get to explore the first two regions, offering around 20 hours of gameplay. Dive into various Research Facilities, test out early abilities for different classes, and enjoy some PvP at the ship crash sites. It’s a great opportunity to get a preview of what’s to come.
