Exciting news for PlayStation fans: Forza Horizon 5, traditionally an Xbox exclusive, is making its way to the PS5, according to confirmation from Playground Games. If you’ve already achieved everything there is in the game on Xbox, this is your chance to dive back in and tackle the trophies on PS5. Although the official release date is not yet disclosed, the game is set to arrive on the PS5 this spring.
In a recent announcement, Playground Games revealed that the beloved Forza Horizon 5 will be reaching a new audience with its PS5 debut. The port is being handled by Panic Button, in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, ensuring that players will experience the same high-quality adventure as their Xbox counterparts. With a scheduled release window in spring 2025, PlayStation players can soon immerse themselves in the stunning landscapes of Mexico and join the vibrant Horizon Festival.
Playground Games shared their excitement through a blog post, stating, “The Horizon Festival welcomes a new community of players.” The game offers an impressive roster of nearly 900 cars, over 40 themed updates, and two expansions. “PlayStation 5 players will be able to explore Mexico’s beautiful roads and experience the Horizon Festival for the first time as we are officially launching Forza Horizon 5 on PS5,” the post continued.
The PS5 version promises to include all the content available on Xbox, including the expansions Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, with all car packs also up for grabs. Additionally, there’s something special in the works: a new, free content update called Horizon Realms, which will be available for all platforms. This update will allow players to dive into some beloved Evolving Worlds, plus a few extra surprises.
