Although Helldivers 2 players didn’t get the massive update some were eagerly awaiting, their latest mission has introduced some promising and high-stakes action in the Galactic War. If you’ve grown tired of watching the devastating purple Meridian death ball annihilate planets, your moment to fight back has arrived.
Up until now, this death ball has consumed three worlds: Moradesh, Angel’s Venture, and more recently, Ivis. While this has left some players heartbroken, others are just indifferent, feeling that this storyline has dragged on for too long. It seems the time has come to stop its advance toward Super Earth.
The introduction of this new major order follows the Helldivers’ success on Wezen, a triumph that paved the way for constructing an Exosuit Support Bay on their Democracy Space Station. This facility conveniently slashes exosuit stratagem cooldowns by a significant 35% for everyone.
According to the latest communication, “The Center of Science astrophysicists on Fenrir III are nearing the pivotal third and final phase of their plan to halt the Meridian Singularity.” To proceed further in their ambitious exploration of Dark Energy manipulation, they require vast quantities of E-710 to conduct essential experiments.
High Command has now greenlighted a second, limited venture into the treacherous Gloom to develop our technology and finally shut down the daunting Meridian Wormhole. Any surplus E-710 might even boost the prosperity of local markets and communities if shared judiciously.
To free the planet Nivel 43 and capture the crucial E-710, players will once again have to face the notorious “Gloom-specific terminid strains” encountered during their previous foray into the fog. Let the showdown with these formidable foes commence!
On the plus side, many are excited to make their return to the Gloom. One post on the game’s subreddit excitedly announced, “THERE’S ANOTHER GLOOM EXPEDITION,” sparking a lively thread of players eager to squash and smash more terminids. It seems they’re ready for a change from battling automatons and illuminates day in and day out. After all, a dose of enthusiasm never goes amiss.
Are you gearing up for a weekend dive into the Gloom to tackle that wormhole? We’d love to hear your plans in the comments below!
