Capcom has officially announced that its eagerly awaited action RPG, Monster Hunter Wilds, will come with PS5 Pro enhancements right at launch. Mark your calendars for February 28, 2025, because that’s when the game hits the shelves, complete with a day-one patch featuring these upgrades. While Capcom held back on revealing finer details, they did share some exciting info about the console’s graphics and resolution expectations.
### Monster Hunter Wilds: A New Addition to the PS5 Pro Enhanced Lineup
In a recent community update ahead of the game’s release, Capcom highlighted that the standard PS5 version of Monster Hunter Wilds will offer two graphic modes: ‘Prioritize Graphics’ and ‘Prioritize Framerate.’ If you choose the graphics-focused mode, you can expect output and rendering resolutions of 3840 x 2160 and 3072 x 1728 at 30 fps. On the other hand, the framerate-centric option delivers resolutions of 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080 at a smoother 60 fps.
Over on their X account, Capcom mentioned that they’ve been busy ironing out rendering problems identified during the Open Beta Test. The team is dedicated and making consistent strides to ensure a polished launch experience.
During the open beta, some players raised eyebrows at the game’s performance, especially on PC, where issues were most pronounced. Capcom previously faced some hurdles with optimizing Dragon’s Dogma 2 for the PS5. The launch of its PS5 Pro patch didn’t quite hit the mark either. Thankfully, Monster Hunter Wilds’ PS5 Pro patch is getting the attention it needs ahead of release, giving developers the opportunity to resolve any issues before players dive into the action.
