The launch date for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has shifted once more. It’s now set to debut on February 4, 2025, which means it’s arriving a week earlier than initially rescheduled. Just last August, the game was postponed to February 11, 2025, but now it’s jumping ahead, marking it technically late and early all at once—quite the fascinating development.
This change in plans was shared through a tweet and a video from Warhorse Studios. Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the studio’s global PR manager, added some context to the date shift, essentially saying, “it is what it is.” He also highlighted that a new story trailer is being unveiled today, December 5.
Stolz-Zwilling went on to announce that “KCD2 is also gold now,” which, for those in the know, means the game is mostly wrapped up. The team is currently in the final stages of polishing and bug fixing. This is promising news, especially for the crowd of Steam users who’ve been eagerly wishing for it, as mentioned early in the video.
As the game reaches this advanced stage, Stolz-Zwilling noted that Warhorse will be releasing the PC and console specifications alongside the new trailer. Console gamers have more reasons to celebrate, as it’s confirmed that KCD2 will be enhanced for the PS5 Pro and will offer both quality and performance modes on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
Reflecting on the summer preview, Connor expressed, “It’s very similar to the first game, but the quality has definitely been upped. There’s less awkwardness and fewer unnecessary hurdles. Visually, it’s more appealing, plays smoother, and offers more options and activities. Although I’ve only sampled a few hours, the anticipation feels like watching a pitch lined up perfectly for a satisfying swing.”
