Modder Transforms PlayStation 4 Slim into Portable Handheld Console

YouTuber Restore Technique recently showcased an incredible and intricate project: a PlayStation 4 handheld creation in a 27-minute YouTube video. This fascinating device is pieced together using a 3D-printed custom shell, specially made PCBs, a 7-inch display, and the motherboard from the original PlayStation 4 Slim console. The result? A genuine handheld PS4 measuring 249 x 156 x 49.2mm and weighing 1.7 Kg. The journey to this point involved some setbacks, as the initial assembly faced thermal and power challenges. After replacing controller frames and enhancing internal shielding, the performance stabilized, eliminating graphical glitches and slowdowns.
