Nintendo has just announced that the Nintendo Direct presentation for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled for tomorrow, April 2, 2025. The broadcast is set to last about an hour.
Fans can catch all the action at 6am PT, 9am ET, 2pm BST, or 3pm CEST. The Nintendo Switch 2, which was officially unveiled to eager audiences last month, put to rest a flurry of rumors and alleged leaks that surrounded the next chapter in Nintendo’s portable home console saga.
In a brief reveal video, Nintendo offered a glimpse of the console’s sleek design, hinted at an exciting new Mario Kart installment, and confirmed backward compatibility with games from the original Switch.
Further details from Nintendo specify that the Switch 2 will support both physical and digital games from the Nintendo Switch library. However, they also caution that some existing Switch titles might not be fully compatible with the new hardware.
Slated for a global release in 2025, the exact launch date of the Nintendo Switch 2 remains under wraps for now.
