The news team certainly didn’t intend for page 70,000 to achieve that milestone this way. It might have contained a few more colorful words if they had.
Last week slipped by, and with it, the arrival of three localized Cosmic Fantasy RPGs. We also saw the game Ultros, which despite its name, doesn’t feature seafood soup, and Konami’s Kitten Kaboodle, not to be mixed up with the Canadian drag artist, popped up in the Archives.
Interesting tidbit: the website’s page URLs have been ticking upward continuously, and in prepping this article, page 70,000 was born. I was secretly hoping that this milestone would coincide with this week’s piece, but alas, it found a fitting use elsewhere.
Now, as for recent game releases, it’s a bit of a quieter week in terms of standout quality. Leading the charge is "PC-8801 ass adventure game" Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog, which James has mentioned occasionally. A quirky crossover of Picross and farming RPGs in Piczle Cross: Rune Factory takes a noteworthy spot, and, to my surprise, Kairosoft hits the stage with Pro Wrestling Story. The EggConsole’s offering of Burai: Jokan, however, comes with a strong recommendation to only tackle it if you’re fluent in Japanese.
