Social Discovery Group, recognized for platforms like Dating.com and DateMyAge.com, has unveiled an innovative venture studio, aiming to make virtual intimacy a standard part of our lives. This new initiative is set to empower early-stage startups focused on AI-enhanced communication, advancements in extended reality (XR), and social discovery platforms.
The venture, known as SDG Lab, has committed to investing $20 million annually. The lab promises a straightforward fundraising approach where entrepreneurs can easily access seed funding for development and additional capital to help them scale successfully.
Among SDG Lab’s standout investments are the virtual dating platform ‘VR Chat&Date’ and niche-focused dating applications such as Kiseki, Flure, and AstroLove. By placing its focus on these areas, SDG Lab is poised to redefine how we perceive virtual relationships.
At the helm of SDG Lab is Alex Kudos, former CMO of Social Discovery Group. Under his leadership, SDG Lab not only offers financial support but also provides essential resources to startups. These include legal help, back-office services, cutting-edge tech infrastructure, and savvy marketing advice.
“Social interaction is undergoing a transformation, and digital intimacy marks the next big leap,” said Alex Kudos, SDG Lab’s CEO. “We at SDG Lab are dedicated to more than just funding concepts. We’re playing an active role in shaping the future of human connection. By collaborating with visionary entrepreneurs, we are crafting technologies that enable meaningful relationships regardless of geographic boundaries.”
Kudos further commented, “Virtual relationships and AI-driven interactions are now a staple of our digital existence—far from the realm of science fiction. SDG Lab is at the forefront of developing the next wave of products that will revolutionize how people connect, engage, and build relationships in the online world.”
