Even though these numbers are impressive, the excitement they reflect doesn’t tell the whole story. We’ve only glimpsed bits and pieces of Pragmata over the past few years—eye-catching cinematics paired with fleeting gameplay moments—leaving us to wonder what exactly is captivating Famitsu’s audience. I, too, felt a pull of interest when it was first announced, but its turbulent development journey has led me to file it away mentally alongside Deep Down. That was another intriguing Capcom initiative that piqued curiosity only to vanish without fulfillment.
What we do know about Pragmata largely comes from Capcom’s official teasers, painting it as a brand-new action-adventure game set in a dystopian moon-based future, with a storyline and setting they promise will be deeply engaging. This description is echoed across platforms like PlayStation and Xbox stores.
Back in the day, the development team shared, “It is with a heavy heart that we must further postpone the release of Pragmata. Our team is dedicated to crafting the best game possible, but we require more time. We are doing everything we can to ensure that the final product lives up to your patience.”
