Retailers have started rolling out pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2, following the much-anticipated reveal of the next-gen portable home console to the public.
At this time, while there’s no official word on pricing or how much stock each retailer will have, stores are inviting eager fans to sign up for email notifications. This way, you’ll be the first to know when pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 officially kick off.
Leading the charge is Best Buy, accepting interest from gamers in both the United States and Canada. Over in the United Kingdom, ShopTo has also gotten in on the action, allowing enthusiasts to register their interest with just a nominal payment of one British penny. It’s important to note, though, that ShopTo does caution that registering doesn’t guarantee a pre-order, but they do assure that if they can’t fulfill your order, your penny will be fully refunded.
The exact date when pre-orders will become available is still under wraps, but there’s an exciting update on the horizon. Nintendo has scheduled a Nintendo Direct presentation focused on the Switch 2 for Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Once the presentation is complete, pre-orders are expected to open up shortly thereafter.
Stay tuned for updates over here, as we’ll be keeping a close eye on any new retailers joining the pre-order scene or making their offers official. And if you happen to spot any new opportunities to secure a console, drop a note in the comments!
