It looks like the latest buzz in the gaming world is about the film adaptation of the newly released game, Split Fiction.
According to a report by Variety, the project is being helmed by Story Kitchen, a company known for assembling top-notch teams for film adaptations. They’ve already collaborated on bringing Hazelight’s popular game It Takes Two to the screen, a project currently underway with Amazon. Story Kitchen’s impressive resume also includes adaptations of Toejam and Earl, Slim Rancher, and Vampire Survivors.
The industry is abuzz, with top Hollywood studios eager to jump on board, and offers seem to be flying in from all directions.
Released just this March, Split Fiction made quite the entrance, selling a whopping one million copies in just the first 48 hours and doubling that figure by the end of its first week on the market. Hazelight, the game’s developer, couldn’t be more thrilled and expressed their excitement on Bluesky after hitting this major milestone. “Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing,” they exclaimed, deeply grateful to both new and long-standing fans for their support and enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, the upcoming It Takes Two film adaptation has already caught attention with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson attached to the project. Plus, the talented duo, Pat Casey and Josh Miller, known for their work on Sonic the Hedgehog, are on board to bring their writing expertise to the table.
