Roblox User Count Surpasses Global Population

Roblox has managed to achieve a mind-boggling feat: there are now more user accounts on the platform than there are people in the world. With over 8.2 billion accounts registered, it’s a milestone that highlights just how massively popular Roblox has become. Recently, a game on Roblox, known as New User Machine, revealed that the number of accounts on the platform had surpassed the global human population, recording a count of 8,228,760,226. Given that the world population is estimated at around 8.21 billion, this is quite the revelation. New User Machine tracks account creation and projected Roblox would inch past 8.229 billion accounts shortly after a particular screenshot was taken.

Naturally, the question arises: how can Roblox have more accounts than there are people in the world? The answer lies in the number of inactive accounts, including bots, duplicate accounts known as “alts,” and those that have been removed or terminated. Despite these aspects, the sheer scale of Roblox’s user base is nothing short of astonishing. For context, even popular mobile games like PUBG, Call of Duty, and Among Us boast hundreds of millions of downloads, while juggernauts like Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V have sold a similar number of copies.
