From February 4 at 10 a.m. to February 18 at 10 a.m. PST, adventurers in both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms can indulge in the radiance of the Lunar Awakening event. This limited-time phenomenon is casting a mystical influence over the shrines scattered across Sanctuary, infusing them with extraordinary powers. Many believe this enchantment is a blessing from their Ancestors in a celebration that transcends the boundaries of life and death.

By activating any shrine in Sanctuary, including Nahantu, players can enjoy a 100% boost in experience for two minutes and gain enhanced powers, all the while accumulating Ancestral Favor Reputation.

To dive headfirst into the Lunar Awakening festivities, make your way to Ked Bardu and explore the town’s northern quarter. Here, you’ll encounter Ying-Yue, the head of the Lunar Night Market. This lively market is the epicenter of the Lunar Awakening, where you can exchange your hard-earned Ancestral Favor Reputation for Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors and acquire beautifully themed Lunar Renewal rewards.

Lunar Shrines dot the landscapes of Sanctuary. Battle your way through dungeons and overgrown wilds to activate these shrines and defeat monsters, collecting vast amounts of Ancestral Favor Reputation along the way.

The Lunar Shrines are pulsing with the auspicious energies bestowed upon them by returning ancestral spirits. For the duration of Lunar Awakening, all shrines transform into Lunar Shrines, showcasing a new look to greet the Year of the Snake. These shrines operate much like their regular counterparts but come with amplified effects to enhance your gameplay experience. They’re also easy to spot, thanks to their distinctive new map icon.

The effects of these Lunar Shrines are particularly potent, offering amazing bonuses on top of their standard powers. Below is a sneak peek at what you can expect:

• Artillery Shrine: Casting has a chance to unleash a holy bomb.
• Blast Wave Shrine: Each explosion triggers a cluster bombardment.
• Channeling Shrine: Increases attack speed and offers a chance to reset cooldowns.
• Conduit Shrine: Brings forth frequent and powerful electric strikes.
• Greed Shrine: Summons a Treasure Goblin with every kill while active.
• Lethal Shrine: Can instantly execute a monster, sending nearby enemies fleeing. This affects Elites but excludes Bosses and other Players.
• Protection Shrine: Reflects all incoming damage, with the reflection scaling based on Level and Difficulty.

Upon activating a Lunar Shrine, Miserly Spirits spawn immediately, allowing you to maximize the shrine’s unique gameplay enhancements.

There are a total of 10 Ancestral Favor Reputation Levels to work through, each offering enticing rewards.
