Annapurna Interactive recently hosted a showcase that gave fans an exciting peek into what’s coming from the publisher and its partnered developers this year. Among the highlights was the announcement that one of their highly-praised PS4 titles is now offering a free upgrade to PS5, available immediately at no extra charge.
### Sayonara Wild Hearts Receives a PS5 Upgrade
The beloved game Sayonara Wild Hearts, developed by Simogo, has transitioned to a native PS5 version. Starting today, players can enjoy the PS5 upgrade, which boasts stunning 4K visuals and can deliver up to 120 frames per second on compatible displays. Additionally, the upgrade enhances the gaming experience with the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback. A noteworthy addition is the exclusive Remix Arcade game mode, designed to let players tackle “endlessly replayable levels” while vying for high scores.
For those who already own the PS4 version of Sayonara Wild Hearts, the upgrade to PS5 is completely free, provided their accounts on both platforms are linked. Newcomers can purchase the game for $12.99 from the PS Store.
The game’s official narrative description sets an intriguing tone: “As the heart of a young woman shatters, universal harmony is disrupted.” It describes a scenario where “a diamond butterfly emerges in her dreams, guiding her through a celestial highway, where she discovers a part of herself—the masked biker named The Fool.”
The storyline further invites players to “embark on a journey to an original pop soundtrack, aiming for high scores and seeking the universe’s harmony, hidden within the hearts of Little Death and her enigmatic companions: Dancing Devils, Howling Moons, Stereo Lovers, and Hermit 64.”
In addition to the Sayonara Wild Hearts upgrade, Annapurna Interactive shared timelines for a few other intriguing titles. Lushfoil Photography Sim is set to debut on the PS5 on April 15, enabling players to capture picturesque scenes in varied locations like South Tyrol, Italy, and South West Australia. Another exciting release is “To a T,” crafted by Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi, which will be available on PS5 starting May 28. Last but not least, the solo bicycle racing game, Wheel World, is slated for a PS5 launch this summer.
