Today marks the launch of Alien: Rogue Incursion on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, with the Quest version set to debut next February. Meanwhile, developer Survios has exciting news: they’re already hard at work on ‘Part Two’ of this thrill-filled adventure.
In our recent playthrough and subsequent review, we awarded Part One a solid 7 out of 10. This was thanks to its compelling atmosphere and gripping narrative, though we did feel these strengths were slightly overshadowed by the monotonous enemy encounters and a rather unforgiving save system.
This first installment stands as a robust experience in its own right, offering about eight hours of gameplay packed with Xenomorphs and effective storytelling. However, once you reach the end, you’ll undoubtedly be eager for the continuation in Part Two.
Though specific details remain under wraps, it seems we can look forward to some eagerly anticipated diversity in our Xenomorph foes. Survios has promised that Part Two will "continue Zula’s story, introducing deadlier enemies and more challenging obstacles," and they’ve confirmed development is already underway.
For now, our sights are set on the Quest release of Part One, which is coming exclusively to Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Squeezing in all those detailed textures, dynamic levels, and physics-based interactions onto the Quest 3’s mobile hardware is no small feat, possibly accounting for the initial delay.
Regardless, since the core systems are already in place for Part One, we’re hopeful for a swift arrival of Zula Hendricks’ next (and possibly last) battle to rid the rogue science station of every lurking Xenomorph menace.
